Collab - short form derived from “collaboration”.
Clip Chimp - spamming poor quality clips or deliberately clipping and sharing moments from a streamer’s channel that, when viewed out-of-context, made a streamer look ridiculous on other social media sites.
Derail - to take a discussion thread off-topic. It commonly occurs in forums or message boards.
Dono - shorthand for a donation, basically a tip, to the streamer.
F - on the chat means the viewers are paying their respects or sarcasm especially if there’s a tragic event on stream.
FFZ (FrankerFaceZ) - Twitch enhancement suite that provides streamers custom channel emotes, Twitch layout and chat customization and advanced chat moderation tools.
FPS (First-Person Shooter) - a subgenre of shooter video games centered on guns and other weapon-based combat in a first-person perspective.
Hate Raid - attack by anonymous users flooding someone’s chat with insults & harassment.
Hot take - a statement that's provocative enough that people can't help but weigh in with their thoughts.
Hype Train - a super-sized celebration when community members unite to support a streamer they love. It challenges the community to reach epic levels of hype and rewards participants for keeping the train on track.
IRL (In Real Life) - it occurs in the whole online community, not just in Twitch slang.
Jebaited - a streamer or member who was baited or tricked into believing something or reacting.
Kreygasm - satisfying moment on stream, such as beating a level on the first try in the game, users commonly spam with this word.
Mald (Malding) - means being angry, the joke being that it’s so much that you lose hair.
Mod - in Twitch slang it means "moderator".
Pog (PogChamp) - users say this to show amazement.
Raid - automatically sends viewers to another streamer's stream. This boosts the other channel.
Rerun - a recorded stream that is broadcasted again. In order for the viewers could watch a missed stream.
Sadge - sadness or disappointment, usually ironic.
Scuffed - just like shoes can be scuffed, so can streams, their framerates, and other qualities.
Stream Sniping - when someone watches your stream to get an upper hand to essentially cheat against you in a game.
Staff - are Twitch employees, who show up with a gear icon to the left of their username.
Subathon (Subscription marathon) - a type of live stream where every time a streamer receives a subscription, more time is added to a descending timer. Once the timer reaches zero, the stream ends.
Swat (Swatting, SWATing) - when someone calls in a make-believe hostage situation or other major offense that would need to be handled by a SWAT team.
Threadjacking - steering a discussion away from the original topic.
Troll - are cyberbullies person who posts offensive comments on different channels and disturbs streamer.
Trolling - the act of leaving insulting online posts or comments in order to annoy someone.
VOD (Video on Demand) - live broadcast that is automatically saved to the history. Everyone can watch the VODs through the Video section of a streamer’s channel.
Whisper - a private message on Twitch.
