“La Velada del Ano” (“The /Fight/ Night of the Year”) is an amateur boxing competition featuring top streamers and celebrities, organized and broadcast live on his Twitch channel annually since 2021 by content creator Ibai Llanos.
The “La Velada del Ano 4” broadcast attracted an impressive 3.8 million concurrent viewers. This fourth installment of the amateur boxing event was livestreamed from Madrid`s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium which was completely sold out, highlighting the event's immense popularity.
Ibai now holds the top spot for the most concurrent viewers on a Twitch livestream, breaking his previous record of 3,449,999 viewers. Over eight hours, the stream from “La Velada del Ano 4” reached a peak viewer count of 3.85 million, setting a new world record that Twitch acknowledged almost immediately.
On the official account, Twitch tweeted: “New world record confirmed. Ibai Llanos and the Spanish-speaking community made history one more time. You are legends of the internet”.
