We continue to summarize the most-watched Twitch games. The ranking of the top 10 games is based on the total number of hours watched by Twitch users in September 2024.
According to this month's statistics, the top five games on Twitch are led by the following: multiplayer online battle arena League of Legends, action-adventure Grand Theft Auto V, and Dota 2 (MOBA by Valve).
League of Legends (LoL) is a 2009 MOBA video game developed & published by Riot Games. LoL has received generally positive reviews and a long lifespan it is considered one of the greatest video games. Also, The League of Legends World Championships is one of the world's most-watched esports events.
Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V), an action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North (published by Rockstar Games), was released in 2013. It is the seventh major installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. It ranks with nearly 92.6M hours watched during September. GTA V is still very popular on PC and has received multiple nominations and awards from gaming publications.
Third place goes to Valve's Dota 2 a multiplayer online battle arena video game. This popular game has been nominated for prestigious awards many times and won the award for best MOBA at the 2015 Global Game Awards. Since 2011, Valve has organized an annual esports world championship for the video game Dota 2 called “The International” (TI).
Next in the top five are two popular games - the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft (WoW) and the tactical first-person shooter Counter-Strike (CS).
