In March 2023, Twitch announced on its blog post, that the more flexible Ads Incentive Program, coming in April. What is this updated program and what improvements will it bring streamers? We will briefly discuss this in our article…
The Ads Incentive Program (AIP) was created to assist Twitch Partners in increasing their revenue from the ads shown on their channel. The program was made available to all active Partners worldwide, and those who opted in received 55% net ad revenue.
Twitch`s AIP has been updated to provide streamers with more control over the ad experience on their channel.
Starting in April, Partners will have the option to join, take a break, or choose a different recommendation for the ads shown on their stream at any time.
The three recommendations will display revenue estimates rather than fixed payouts, allowing for greater flexibility within the program.
Once an option is selected, it will carry over until it is updated, and using Ads Manager, Partners will be able to edit the number of ads running on their channel beyond the three recommendations and still earn 55% net ad revenue.
The minimum ads per hour to earn 55% will be three minutes, which may vary by country and audience size.
These changes provide Partners with the same flexibility as Affiliates, who have been able to earn new 55% net revenue since August 2022.
Partners received an email on March 15th to sign up for the new program, which will take effect on April 1st.
