Record deal of ex-Twitch star with Kick

Relatively recently stirred up a network of news about Canadian streamer and ex-Twitch star "xQc", who has signed a $100M deal with Twitch competitor Kick! What to say here? This is one of the largest deals in the history of the live streaming industry and a big loss for Twitch...

The fact that streamer Felix "xQc" Lengyel entered into a partnership agreement with the streaming platform Kick.com became known on June 2023. Leading publications, including The New York Times, drew attention to this.

Under a two-year contract with Kick, Lengyel will earn $70 million. This amount will increase to $100 million if the streamer meets certain conditions.

Streaming platform Kick bills itself as a "freer" platform for streamers compared to Twitch. In particular, the Kick administration claims that they do not block content authors for violations that occurred by accident.

Kick's share of streamer earnings is only 5% compared to 50% for Twitch.

Lengyel said the contract with Kick will allow him to stream more freely on the platform without having to worry about violating Twitch's strict rules.

Felix "xQc" Lengyel, 27, and today he is one of the most popular streamers in Twitch history, with over 12 million followers and 525 million total views. In 2020-2021 "xQc" was the most-watched streamer on Twitch.
